I am an always optimistic, curious and communicative person. I love new challenges and constantly learning new things. I see myself as a creative problem solver.

Since 2013, I have specialized as a Data Scientist in the field of Predictive Analytics. I am particularly fascinated by the use of machine learning algorithms to extract knowledge from large amounts of data.

Before founding Revolytics AG, I worked for 17 years in various companies and functions as a designer, technical consultant, software developer, project manager and data scientist. During this time I acquired a wide range of skills and expertise.

Competencies

  • Programming: I have been coding for 33 years now and I'm still not tired of it. I love programming not only because of the creative aspect, but also because there are always new skills to master and new problems to solve. I work on tricky algorithms even in my spare time. Just for fun.
  • Data Engineering: I know relational databases very well. ETL tasks are part of my standard repertoire. In the last few years, I have increasingly trained in the area of NoSQL databases: Especially MongoDB projects keep me busy at the moment.
  • Mathematics & Statistics: I have always enjoyed mathematics and statistics. However, I am more of a practical computer scientist than a theoretical one. I can read and understand complicated scientific papers and convert them into algorithms, but doing mathematical proofs myself would be beyond my current horizon.
  • Machine learning: My current favorite field. I like to get to the bottom of new machine learning methods and reimplement them myself. Only when I have a feel for a new method do I rely on tools and libraries.
  • Communication: Through my years of working as a technical consultant, I can relate well to customers. I am an attentive listener and ask many questions to understand the customer's needs accurately. I maintain an open and polite communication style. Transparency is very important to me.
  • Visualization: I am a very visual person and therefore a big fan of meaningful infographics and intelligent visualizations of any kind. That's why I also specialized in computer graphics during my computer science studies. I try to communicate visually wherever possible.
